I liked this movie as a child, but after watching it again I found it disturbing. The second half was great, but the first half was ridiculous at best. I rate it with Santa Claus or worse. The documentation & actual reality of the beginning was a joke at best. I'll call it Fantasyland. The ending made me admire the movie altogether though.. Never Surrender!! I got some American Indian in me soooo... 7/10

This is one of the best movies ever made. Not only does it have a riveting storyline but it also has a stunning cast of African American actors and actresses. I saw this movie back in the 70's and some of the images still haunt me to this day. 10/10

would love to add this movie to my collection,this one down loads,but will not play,and no program i have will burn it to dvd?i have the other 4 on here and they will burn,why want this one? will some please upload part one that is good please so i can play it in realplayer and burn it to dvd,my mom would love to see this again.thank you.

My teacher made us watch this in school a couple years ago. I thought it was going to be lame, but it was so flipping good. :) It is excellent especially compared to other movie made at the time.

I added this one to my collection took all day to do , but well worth it!Good drama, you would never know it was made for tv, I love the background scenes and the boat and ocean scenes. Well directed , truly a great movie.
